Droid Rage Team #3381 is a FIRST robotics team based in Southern Manitowoc County. High school students from the area (Valders, Chilton, Reedsville, Howards Grove, Manitowoc Lutheran and Manitowoc Lincoln) meet at Valders High School to design, build and program a robot in six weeks to compete against other teams from around the globe in regional and international competitions. Additionally, the Communication and Marketing teams work throughout the season producing the website and Facebook page, press releases, open house events, the business plan, and a marketing portfolio to secure sponsorships. Each year the students must solve a new challenge that is kept secret until the first day of the robotics build season. The challenge for the season is released in early January and the teams are given until the third week of February -six weeks - to build a robot to play the game. The regional competitions are held in Milwaukee, WI March 10-12 and in Minneapolis, MN March 30-April 3. The World Championship is held April 27-30 in St. Louis, MO.
The Droid Rage - Team #3381 is hosting an open house on Sunday, February 20 from 1:00-3:00 pm at Valders High School Cafetorium. The team is hosting a Pancake Breakfast fundraiser on Sunday, March 20 at Valders High School Cafetorium. The public is welcome to attend both events to learn about the program and help the team.

In an effort to comply with the Wisconsin Interscholastic Association's (WIAA) rules governing fan seating at WIAA tournament events in gymnasiums, Chilton High School is asking all student and adult fans to sit in the designated areas (click image to enlarge) for Boys and Girls Basketball events. The specific rule from the WIAA's season regulations manual states:
- First published on 20 December 2010 Posted in CHS Athletics
"The gym should be split in half at the midcourt line. All adult fans should be placed on the same side of the gym being placed behind their respective player bench. Student fans should be placed directly across from their adult fans. No student fans for any team should be placed behind their opponent's player bench." (WIAA 2010-2011 Winter Season Regulations, page 8)
Student and adult fans attending Boys or Girls Basketball events should review the image referenced above to find their designated seating location in the gymnasium and assist with the school's efforts to comply with the above WIAA rule by sitting in the correct area of the gym.
