Board of Education Meeting
Monday, February 26, 2018, at 6:00 pm
Community Room of the High School Building

The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, February 26, 2018.

1. Call to order

Mr. Randy Lisowe called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

2. Roll call of members

Present: Bailey, Brickl, Criter, Koenigs, Lisowe
Also Present: Mrs. Sue Kaphingst, Mrs. Amanda Potratz, Mr. Matt Kiel, Mr. Ty Breitlow, Mrs. Dawn Bartel and Mr. Nathan Schmitz.

Absent: Mrs. Pam Schuster, Elementary School Principal

3. Verification of notice pursuant to s.19.84(1)(3) Wis. Stats. Notices were properly posted.

4. Pledge of Allegiance

5. Delegations: This is the time for any person attending the meeting as an observer to express a particular comment or concern.

-Spotlight on Learning - Elementary School Students/Staff.
-Acceptance of the following Gift(s) to the District:
-Donation - $500.00 from Compeer Financial to Chilton FFA for students to attend UW-Platteville Pre-Vet Camp this summer.
-Donation - $800.00, Seeds of Native Pollinator Plants, and Supplies (Flats and Pots) from a Pollinator Grant for the Chilton High School Greenhouse.
-Donation - $500.00 Exxon Mobil Educational Alliance Program from Condon Oil to Chilton High School POPS Account.

Spotlight on Learning - Elementary School Students/Staff.

The Elementary School Spotlight on Learning was presented.

Acceptance of the following Gift(s) to the District:

There was a motion by Mrs. Donna Koenigs, seconded by Mr. Terry Criter to approve the following gifts to the District:

-Donation - $500.00 from Compeer Financial to Chilton FFA for students to attend UW-Platteville Pre-Vet Camp this summer.

There was a motion by Mr. Corey Brickl, seconded by Mr. Dave Bailey to approve the following consent agenda items:

Approval of minutes from previous board meetings, to include committee meetings.

Approval of bills as presented and authorize payment of check #210181 - #210248 and ACH
#171800480 - #171800577. The February receipts were $2,336,188.72. The February
disbursements including payroll were $1,202,485.08.

Recommendation for Hire:

-Cheyanne Broeckel, Volunteer Softball Coach
-Frank Wasdovitch, Volunteer Asst. Varsity Baseball Coach

Recommendation for Retirement:
-Virginia (Ginny) Satzer, Food Service Worker

Recommendation for Resignation:

-Joy Paffenroth - Middle School/High School Choir Teacher

B. Student Board Representative Report - Mr. Nathan Schmitz, Student Council Board of Education Representative, will provide an update to the Board on current student
topics.

The Board of Education will be asked to dispense of the formal reading and approve the third and final reading of Volume 26 - No. 2 and TECH Updates-Phase I,
Phase II, and Phase III.

-The Finance Committee will meet on March 8, 2018 at 7:00 a.m.

There was a motion by Mr. Corey Brickl, seconded by Mr. Dave Bailey to dispense of the formal reading and approve the third and final reading of Volume 26 - No. 2 and TECH
Updates-Phase I, Phase II, and Phase III. All ayes, motion carried.

Co-Curricular Committee Report - No report.

Finance Committee Report - The Finance Committee will meet on March 8, 2018 at 7:00 a.m.

Buildings and Grounds Committee Report - No report.

8. New Business

A. Chilton Boys Baseball Trip - March 30 and 31, 2018 in Champaign, Illinois. The
Board will be asked to approve the Chilton Boys Baseball trip to Champaign, Illinois.A copy of the itinerary is attached for your review.

There was a motion by Mrs. Donna Koenigs, seconded by Mr. Terry Criter to approve Chilton Boys Baseball trip on March 30 and 31, 2018 in Champaign, Illinois. All ayes,
motion carried.

B. Petition to Alter School District Boundaries - 0 Hickory Hills Road, Chilton, WI. We have a request for property to be detached from the School District of Chilton and
attached to the School District of Stockbridge. The Board of Education will take action on this request.

There was a motion by Mr. Corey Brickl, seconded by Mr. Dave Bailey to deny the petition to alter school district boundaries - O Hickory Hills Road, Chilton, WI. All ayes,
motion carried.

C. Petition to Alter School District Boundaries - W4466 Hickory Hills Road, Chilton, WI. We have a request for property to be detached from the School District of Chilton
and attached to the School District of Stockbridge. The Board of Education will take action on this request.
