Board of Education Meeting
Monday, January 18, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.
Commons Area in the High School Building

The Chilton Board of Education met in regular session on Monday, January 18, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. in
the Commons Area located in the Chilton High School building.

Mr. Randy Lisowe called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

Roll call of Members:
Present: Mr. Randy Lisowe, Mr. Terry Criter, Mr. Dave Bailey, Mrs. Donna Koenigs and Mrs. Maria
Halbach.

Also Present: Mrs. Sue Kaphingst, Mrs. Pam Schuster, Mrs. Lori Muench, Mr. Shawn Rude, Mr. Matt
Kiel, Mrs. Dawn Bartel and Miss Breanna Bowe.

Excused Absence: Mrs. Samantha Woelfel

Notices were properly posted.

There was a motion by Mr. Terry Criter, seconded by Mrs. Maria Halbach to accept the following
gifts: Kaytee-two pallets of bedding for small animals and Weber Oil-Gas Pump for Chilton School
District-November and December $307.31.

There was a motion by Mr. Dave Bailey, seconded by Mrs. Donna Koenigs to approve the following
Consent Agenda items: Approval of minutes from previous board meetings to include committee
meetings. Approval of bills as presented and authorize payment of check #213163 - #213201 and
ACH #202000231 - #202100387. The January receipts were $2,657,652.21. The January
disbursements including payroll were $1,189,876.59.

All ayes, motion carried.

President’s Report:

Mr. Randy Lisowe reminded the Board of Education the WASB Virtual State Convention will be held
in Milwaukee from January 20-22, 2021. Please let Mrs. Dawn Bartel know if you plan to attend.

Student Board Representative Report:
Miss Breanna Bowe, Student Council Board of Education Representative, provided an update to the
Board of Education on current student topics.

Board of Education Committee Reports:

Finance Committee: No report.
Policy Committee: No report.
Buildings and Grounds Committee: No report.
Co-Curricular Committee: No report.
Education Committee: No report.

Mrs. Sue Kaphingst, Superintendent, gave a presentation regarding adjusting the school calendar and
continuing non-student contact days on Wednesdays in February. Administrators and teachers gave
input as it relates to their specific buildings. There was a motion by Mr. Terry Criter, seconded by
Mrs. Maria Halbach to adjust the school calendar as presented. All ayes, motion carried.

Mrs. Sue Kaphingst, Superintendent, gave an update on mitigation practices.

There was a motion by Mrs. Donna Koenigs, seconded by Mr. Dave Bailey to approve the 2021-2022
Open Enrollment Space Availability as presented (attached). All ayes, motion carried.

There was a motion by Mr. Dave Bailey, seconded by Mrs. Maria Halbach to convene into closed
session to discuss the Superintendent’s performance evaluation and administrative contracts. Upon a
roll call vote: Lisowe-aye, Criter-aye, Bailey-aye, Koenigs-aye, and Halbach-aye. All ayes, motion
carried.

There was a motion by Mrs. Donna Koenigs, seconded by Mr. Dave Bailey to adjourn the meeting.
All ayes, motion carried. Mrs. Maria Halbach-absent.
